WE KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE
At Girls Inc. of New York City, we know this to be true: Educating and empowering girls is vital to shaping our future.
This is why we’ve worked tirelessly over the last 3 decades to grow our reach, growing from 1 school in East Harlem in 1998 to 15,000 girls across 200+ schools and community organizations in 2026.
Thanks to a generous match offered by our Board of Directors, every dollar you donate to GINYC before December 31st will be doubled, up to a total of $25,000.
As 2025 comes to a close, join Girls Inc. of New York City in empowering the next generation with the tools and resources they need to become healthy, educated, and independent adults.
At Girls Inc. of New York City, we hold to steadfast truths:
• A world in which girls and boys, women and men, and people of different backgrounds are thriving equitably together is a world worth fighting for.
• Educating and empowering our children is vital to shaping our future.
• Every girl’s life holds purpose and meaning. Every girl deserves a chance to succeed in life, regardless of background or belief.
• Girls can excel in every field, from science labs to boardrooms.
• Girls’ voices and choices matter.
• Students rise to expectations. If you provide sufficient scaffolding from a young age, students will succeed socially and academically and break barriers.
• Educating girls lifts economies and leads to more prosperous communities and reduces poverty.
• When you invest in a young woman, she invests in her family and community. Those investments are exponential.
• Women’s mental health is critical to the health of the family
• Women are culture bearers, shock absorbers, and the invisible glue of society.
It's the most impactful time of year. This holiday season, your support can help provide the resources our girls need to succeed. Join us in this mission. Your donation makes a difference in turning these truths into reality.

"As an organization whose mission is to serve girls and young women, we’ve always believed that our work is vital, and doesn't exist in a silo. To uplift a girl is to also uplift her friends, family, and extended community."
